Karin Duerr is the proprietress of Hotel on der Oper.  A Munich native, she studied economics before doing an internship at Munich’s Geisel Hotels where she re-discovered what was to become a lifelong love of the hotel business.

Her dedication and work ethic soon paid off with senior management positions as controller and payroll manager at Geisel Hotels.  In 1984, Duerr returned to her family’s business, Hotel an der Oper. She remains in that role to this day, with uncommon enthusiasm and a true desire to seek the very best for her guests.
